A ten-man Uganda Cranes outfit suffered yet another heart break at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) Tournament following a late slip up to the Namibia Warriors on Thursday night during the 1-0 group B loss in Marrakech.

Uganda got close to breaking the deadlock on numerous occasions but Derrick Nsibambi and Allan Kyambadde were unlucky on several times.

Uganda Cranes head coach Sebestien Desabre made one change to the starting team with goalie Watenge returning to the posts in favour of Benjamin Ochan who had started in the opening game against Zambia that the Cranes lost 3-1.

Right winger Milton Karisa looked lively throughout the match, running over the opposition and delivering pin point crosses that troubled the Warriors backline.

Center-back Timothy Denis Awanyi was controversially sent off with 15 minutes to go

The technical team for Uganda called for all the three changes in the game.

Midfielder Ibrahim Sadam Juma paved way for fellow KCCA midfielder Paul Mucureezi 11 minutes into the second half.

Bright Stars captain Nelson Senkatuka replaced SC Villa Jogoo play maker Allan Kyambadde with 16 minutes left on the clock.

The final change witnessed Bright Stars wide man Sheif Batte come in for KCCA creative midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba in the last five minutes.

Uganda’s last group match against Ivory Coast on Monday will only be a formality. With six points each, Zambia and Namibia are through to the quarter finals of the competition that features only home-based players.
