FUFA Polls 2017: Incumbent Eng.Magogo to face Mujib Kasule as nomination dead line closes out Misagga

Ahead of the nomination exercise in preparation for the FUFA Executive Committee Elections slated for 5th August 2017, two aspiring candidates have picked forms on Wednesday at FUFA House in Kampala.

Incumbent FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo and Proline head coach/Director Mujib Kasule have picked nomination forms after fulfilling the payment process of UGX 9m deposited in the bank on the Fufa’s accounts.

Magogo and Kasule still have a process to complete before they are declared candidates to run for the top most position in Ugandan football.

Both Eng. Magogo and Kasule returned the paid bank slips to the office of the Electoral Commission as they were handed with the nomination forms.

Chairperson of the FUFA Electoral Committee Sam Bakiika officially handed over the nomination forms.

Bakiika noted that this is part of the nomination process with the forms expected by Friday.

‘We have two candidates who have returned the paid slips (Eng. Moses Magogo and Mujib Kasule). The other third person (Ben Misagga had not returned the slips so we did not issue the nomination forms. We expect both of them by Friday. Mr Kasule has booked at 2:30 p.m and Eng Magogo at 4 p.m.’ Bakiika clarified.

CAF Executive Committee member who also chairs the CAF Beach soccer and Futsal committee Eng. Moses Magogo seeks another term in office after successfully administering a 4 year term since 2013.
