Kampala: The Ugandan government has been thrown in panic mode ever since president Yoweri Museveni announced that Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine painted a negative picture about Uganda to the western world, which has since discouraged investors from investing in Uganda.

Museveni revealed on Friday in an interview with BBC’s Allan Kasujja that Bobi Wine had discouraged investors in America and Europe from investing in Uganda and that because of that he is an enemy of progress in the country.

However, whatever Bobi Wine told Americans has sparked off panic among several top government officials, because many of them have since been slapped with travel bans and sanctions by both America and European countries.

The heightened panic is being felt so much among several government officials to the extent that security minister Gen. Elly Tumwine has since vowed to do whatever it takes to force Bobi Wine to apologise to President Museveni.

Tumwine is quoted to have said thus; “I will force Bobi wine to apologize to us or die trying.”
Gen. Tumwine in a conversation, said that it’s wrong for the young not to respect their elders.

Tumwine was speaking out after Museveni’s Controversial interview, in which Museveni accused Bobi Wine of dissuading investors from coming to Uganda.

Museveni also described Bobi Wine as an enemy of Uganda’s prosperity over his comments that discouraged foreign investment in Uganda.

“But why can’t Bobi apologize? Why does he make our country so poor? He is responsible for all the problems we have today. What do you benefit by exposing our safe houses?” Tumwine asked.

He added; “What do you benefit from the sanctions that the west is putting on us in the cabinet? Are you so happy now that the cabinet is in disarray and the Chief Justice is in hiding?” He added.

Tumwine also confirmed that Bobi must apologize, because he and his comrades in 1980 fought for this country, where he even lost his eye in this liberation war

Meanwhile, the National Resistance Movement (NRM)Kasule Lumumba in her statement advised Bobi Wine to be humble and apologize:-
“Apologize to the President so he can allow you to sing. Stop making our country suffer. The whole cabinet is worried about shame if they try to go abroad.

If the chief justice cannot be allowed to enter a country, how about cabinet ministers. Bobi you are the cause of all these problems. You need to apologize.” Lumumba pleaded with Bobi.
