There was jubilation and ululations at Next Radio today Friday October 19, 2019 as management and staff celebrated one year of the radio’s existence on Uganda’s waves.
Spy Uganda has learnt that staff of Next Radio and NBS TV, together with their boss Kin Kariisa spent the better day of Friday merry-making as they celebrated this great milestone.
While commenting about the anniversary, Next Media Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kin Kariisa tweeted thus;
“We ought to celebrate milestones to acknowledge where we are coming from and the journey ahead. Today, marks one year since @nxtradioug, Uganda’s first audiovisual station, went on air. Congratulations to the entire team and here’s to more years of BIG hits.”
He added; “When we launched @nxtradioug last year, I said this audiovisual station, 1st of its kind in Uganda, would cause a major shift in the radio industry landscape. Now rated Uganda’s fastest growing English radio station, I am so proud of this team. Happy 1st anniversary.”
