Police has issued stringent guidelines to ensure sanity at the long awaited Kyarenga concert that goes down in the history today (Saturday) at the One Love Beach Busaabala
In a statement issued by Uganda Police on Friday, Bobi Wine was warned not to Carryout processions to and from the concert venue including political comments.
Police also demanded full access to the venue to ensure the security of the fans at Busaabala.
Kampala Metropolitan Area spokesman Luke Owoyesigire said the purpose of the concert is to launch the music album and for entertainment only and not a political gathering.
Police further tasked the event organizers to ensure that there is “no use of drugs, open sex and any other act considered immoral or unacceptable by the culture and laws of the people of Uganda.”
“In the event of the breach of contract of any or a combination of the above conditions, the government reserves the right to call off the event without notice,” said Owoyesigyire.
The Kyarenga concert was two times put on halt following cancellation by the Namboole National Stadium management where the concert organisers had allegedly booked
The stadium management cancelled the concert in favor of other claimed programs which the Uganda Police said were officially informed about.
Later on when the Kyarenga concert organisers scheduled another period for the concert, the football Association “FUFA” blocked the move saying the period of the concert was close to the CAF Nations Cup Qualifiers games which would affect the stadium.
The two disappointments forced the concert to be shifted to One Love Beach, Busaabala scheduled today 10th November 2018 where Bobi Wine is expected to entertain his long waiting fans. See you there……..
