Kampala, Uganda: A senior Uganda Police officer has this morning been announced dead after a short illness.
Josephine Kakooza, who was the director police band, passed away today (Wed.) morning from Namirembe Hospital, where she was rushed last night. Police mouthpiece SSP Emilian Kayima said that; “We were not aware that she was sick, we have been taken by surprise. However, preparations to give our comrade a state send off are underway. She has been a committed and diligent police officer who joined the Uganda Police Force in 1969 and committed all her life to it”.
A postmortem report about the actual cause of her death is yet to be availed by the hospital.
