Uganda Law Society Launches Hunt For Missing Lawyer

Several lawyers under their umbrella body Uganda Law Society (ULS) are hunting for their fellow learned counsel who went missing this morning and is feared to have been kidnapped.

News coming in indicates that counsel Bony Akol, a member of Uganda Law Society was kidnapped on Friday September 6 morning in Najjeera, Nakawa division.

The President Uganda Law Society ULS Simon Peter Kinobe said that
“He was kidnapped by unknown persons and we are yet to locate where he has been taken.”

He stated that together with the police and other security agencies are doing what they can to find out the assailants who have committed the kidnap and where they are detaining Akol.

“Please keep in prayers our own member of Uganda Law Society counsel Bony Akol who has apparently been kidnapped in Najjeera by persons unknown but we are doing everything we can to locate him” Kinobe said in a statement.
