Kampala, Uganda: Justine Nameere, who is popularly known for having worked with various local TV stations, is braving cold nights after her lover Raymond Kagimba was sent to Luzira Prisons.
Kagimba was remanded on Tuesday afternoon to Luzira Prisons by Buganda Road court for allegedly assaulting a Taxify driver. Spies reveal that Kagimba’s troubles started when Nameere, using the Taxify application, called a taxi hire driver. It is said that the driver drove Nameere to her residence in Najjera near Kiira town Council, Wakiso district. However, when they reached her place, Nameere and the Taxify driver argued over the fare she was supposed to pay and after the disagreement,Nameere stormed into the house without paying the Taxify guy. The driver followed her inside the residence and bumped into Kagimba, who demanded to know what the latter wanted from his woman.
Thereafter it is said that a bitter scuffle ensued during which Kagimba assaulted the Taxify driver and chased him from his residence. The Taxify driver drove to Kiira Division Police Station, where he reported a case of assault. The police, after summoning Kagimba to record a statement and he refused, arrested him. He however denied the charges and was given bond. On Tuesday when he reported on the bond he was arrested and told that it had been cancelled. Kagimba was eventually rearrested, paraded before Court and remanded to Luzira prison for assault and causing physical injury to a person.
