Rev. Asiimwe noted that  “God has never made a mistake God has a plan for you, family members of the deceased. He knows why He did this, keep on praying to Him; one time you will receive an answer.” The area legislator Hon. Raphael Magyezi appealed to all tea factory owners to start installing lightening arrestors at tea collecting centers and in their homes as a way of preventing such calamities. However, Magyezi’s words left some mourners cursing him. Racheal Namara, a resident of Nyanga said that  “Some leaders no longer have what to tell us. Now hear this MP telling us to plant lightening conductors in gardens, remember we don’t have money to put them on our houses where we stay but he is busy telling us his funny words. If I was the master of ceremonies, I was going to pull away the microphone from him.”  After the prayers, the bodies of the deceased were taken to their respective homes to be laid to rest.
