Another NTV Journalist Throws In Towel For Kabaka’s BBS TV

By Our Reporter

Just few days after NTV’s long serving celebrated news anchor Recheal Arinaitwe called it quits, the station has been faced with yet another big blow with the exit of another unparalleled field reporter Culton Scovia Nakamya who has joined Buganda Kingdom owned BBS Television.

Nakamya has for four years been NTV’s Luweero Triangle correspondent and has covered a lot of stories including the outbreak of the highly contagious foot and mouth disease in the region a couple of years back.

According to a source at BBS TV, Scovia will start working next month.

When contacted by Our Reporter, Nakamya neither confirmed nor refuted the information but instead preferred to comment at a later date.

Given her four year experience in the area coupled with her contacts in Nakaseke, Nakasongola, Kiboga, Masindi and Luweero, NTV is likely to struggle replacing her.

Arinaitwe and Nakamya are not the only journalists who have quit the station in the recent past. Maurice Mugisha, the former head of News at NTV called it quits a couple of weeks ago and joined state-run Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) where he will be working as a deputy managing director.
