Basketball Ball Team Excited As FIBA Officials Arrive In Uganda For National Youth Camp

The FIBA National Youth team has arrived in Uganda under its Youth Development Program visits in East Africa.

From Monday, February 21 through Saturday, the FIBA National Youth Camp, a partnership between the International Basketball (FIBA) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) is being held in in Kampala.

In the Ugandan capital, 30 players and 20 coaches have started what is expected to be a step forward in the development of the game in the country.

Just as has been the case in Conakry (Guinea), Phoenix (Mauritius), Maputo (Mozambique), the Development Program will have separate sessions for players and coaches.

And, at the end of the session, the best 15 players will be invited for the Regional Camp.

The FIBA National Youth Camp is being held at the Africa Bible University by the President of FIBA Africa Youth council and 3X3 basketball Ambrose Tashobya.

The Ugandan official, who has served as president of Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) was joined FUBA current Chairman Nasser Sserunjogi, National Council of Sports General Secretary Dr. Bernard Ogwel as well as FIBA instructor Nour Amri and NBA Academy Technical Director Joe Touomou.
