MUBS Beach Soccer Club registered its first victory of the season after beating Kiringente BSC 7-4 in the first game of matchday 3 that was played on Saturday morning at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
Isma Kawawulo scored a Hattrick to help MUBS overcome Kiringente while other goals were scored by Douglas Muganga (a brace), Frank Bomboka and Elvis Kasujja.
Goals for Kiringente were scored by Chinonso Okello Rufus (a Hattrick) and Kevin Kizito.
Later in the afternoon, MUBS overcame Mutoola BSC 6-5 which was their second win in four.
Before these wins, MUBS had lost their two opening games 10-6 to St Lawrence and 8-3 to Buganda Royal BSC.
Elsewhere, Buganda Royal BSC beat Entebbe Sharks 12-9 in the second match of the day.
Ambrose Kigozi and Emmanuel Kalyowa both scored hattricks, Peter Wasswa (a brace), Swaibu Kakwaya, Hassan Luboyera, Ronald Kibirige, Paul Kato and Daniel Talemwa (Own Goal) netted the rest for Buganda Royal.
In the final game, St Lawrence eased past Kiringente BSC 7-1 to reclaim the summit with 9 points tied with Buganda Royal but separated by goal differences 18, 8 respectively.
St Lawrence’s Swalleh Simbwa still leads the top scorers’ chart with 13 goals followed by teammate Sulaiman Ochero and Entebbe Sharks Abby Kavuma both at 11 goals.
The league returns on Sunday 11th April 2021 with three matches that will all be played at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru;
MUBS Vs Entebbe Sharks at 8:30am
Kiringente BSC Vs Buganda Royal BSC at 10:30am
And finally St Lawrence BSC Vs Mutoola BSC at 12:00pm.
