By Our Writer

Kampala: Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, who has been under house arrest since Easter Monday, is nowhere to be seen.

Our Spies in Magere, where Bobi’s home is located, reveal that the police and military officers deployed at the legislator’s home got shocked this morning after failing to locate him. It is said that since this morning efforts by both security personnel and family members of Bobi Wine to locate him have proved futile. It  is not yet clear whether he is hiding in the house or sneaked away in the night. As you read this, a frantic hunt for the singer turned politician has been launched by the police. On Tuesday Bobi Wine, who had been arrested the previous day after police cancelling his Kyarenga Extra concerts, was scheduled to walk to police headquarters in Naguru as a way of protesting police’s continued blocking of his concerts.

However, the police and army deployed heavily at Bobi’s home, barring both him and his supporters to stage any protests. Bobi Wine’s residence has since been under siege, although it’s not yet clear how he might have escaped from the heavy police and military deployment at his home.  On Wednesday, Bobi Wine’s People Power supporters staged protests in Kamwokya but they were quickly repulsed by police and many of them arrested. Semakokiro Plaza,   which houses Bobi Wine’s Firebase Studios, was also sealed off by the police and military.
