Fort Portal City, Uganda — Residents of Fort Portal City woke up to shocking news on Monday morning after a local Boda Boda rider, identified as Enock, was found dead by the roadside along the Fort Portal–Kamwenge road.
According to eyewitness accounts, Enock, who operated from the Boda Boda stage located behind VOT on Moldina Street, suddenly fell off his motorcycle while riding early in the morning. Passersby who rushed to the scene found him unresponsive and promptly notified the authorities.
Police reports indicate that the tragic incident occurred on November 3, 2025, near a bar belonging to a one Kemigisa Priscilla, approximately 15 metres from where the deceased had earlier parked his motorcycle a Bajaj Boxer registration number UFP 408H.
The motorcycle has since been taken to the Fort Portal Police Station as investigations continue to determine the exact cause of death.
“We are still investigating what could have led to the rider’s sudden collapse. The body has been taken for postmortem to establish the cause,” a police source told this publication.
The deceased was well-known among fellow riders and residents in the area for his calm demeanor and dedication to work. News of his passing has left the Boda Boda community in deep sorrow.
Authorities have urged the public to remain patient as investigations proceed, and to avoid spreading unverified information about the incident.
