Gen Katumba Wamala, in his official army car, has this morning been shot by unknown gun-wielding assailants around Kisaasi in Kampala this morning-TheSpy Uganda reports. Wamala survived with serious gun injuries in the chest and one of the legs.
We have since established that General’s driver and daughter identified as Brenda Nantongo, whom he was traveling with are believed to have been killed on spot.
Katumba has been rescued by a Boda Boda cyclist who rushed him to Malcolm Clinic in great pain where he was shortly picked and rushed to Nakasero Hospital for further treatment. Keep logged on for more updates shortly.
According to sources, Brenda has been Gen Katumba’s last born and she had returned from the USA a few months ago where she had been studying.
