Hon. Anita Among, the Woman Member of Parliament for Bukedea District on Saturday June 23rd graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Law at Kampala International University (KIU).
The highly attended ceremony was held at the University main campus located in Kansanga. It was graced by President Museveni as the chief guest who was asked to hand over a small pluck to Hon. Among for her contributions to the University.
KIU recognized Hon Among for her contribution to the University and recruiting many students to the Kansanga based University and was recognized as a special graduand at the University’s 18th graduation ceremony.
Prior to her LLB degree award, Hon Among holds a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in accounting, a post graduate Diploma in Banking, a Master’s degree in Human Resource, and has 10 years banking work experience.
In addition, Hon. Among is the Vice Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee of Commissions and Statutory Authorities and State Agencies.
Hon Among recently launched a community school project in addition to using her LLB to champion the conduction of a legal clinic together with her classmates. She recently conducted a legal clinic in Bukedea district free of charge and sensitized the communities.
