One of the victims who got involved in the Kira Road accident that occurred on Wednesday evening has lost her life.
Phillipa Nsimenta, who was traveling in one of the vehicles that was crashed a trailer truck that lost control at the Kira-Bukoto traffic lights died this afternoons. According to her friends, Nsimenta was a daughter of Canon Kashumbusha of Kinoni sub county, in Nyabushozi Kiruhura district. Several other people were rushed to hospitals around Kampala after sustaining injuries in the deadly accident that occurred when a speeding trailer failed to brake and rammed into two taxis, a pioneer bus, four motorcycles and several other private cars.
However, the errant driver of the killer truck has since fled and the police are still hunting for him as investigations into what could have caused the accident continue.
