Confirmed: Presidential Address On COVID-19 Slated For Saturday

Kampala: According to Presidential Press Secretary, Ms Linda Nabusayi, the long awaited state of nation address on COVID-19 pandemic is slated for Saturday 31.7.2021.

Nabusayi via her Twitter handle has this morning announced that the presidential address will be live at 8pm via all TVs and radio stations in the country.

”Kaguta Museveni will address the Nation this Saturday July 31, 2021 at 8pm on COVID-19 and any other related issues,” Nabusayi tweeted.“The address will be live on all Television and Radio stations Tune in,” she added.

The President is among others expected to address on how the country has made in the efforts to reduce the spread of the coronavirus disease, and give a way forward after the end of the 42-day lockdown imposed last month on June 18.

The development comes at a time when Ministry of Health has registered at least 71 cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative confirmed cases to 92,795.

The breakdown of the new cases are: Kagadi (7) Bulambuli (7) Kampala (23) Hoima (5) Tororo (4) Katakwi (4) Butaleja (2) Pallisa (3) Kumi (2) Oyam (2) Mityana (1) Iganga (1)Terego (1) Kakumiro (1) Wakiso (4)Bukwo (1)Soroti (1), 2 Truck Drivers from Mutukula.
