The Revolutionary Government of Cuba has issued a powerful and unwavering condemnation of what it describes as a cowardly military aggression by the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, reaffirming its absolute support and solidarity with the Venezuelan people and their legitimate government.

In an official statement released in Havana, Cuba denounced the U.S. action as a grave violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, warning that it represents a dangerous escalation in Washington’s long-running campaign of hostility against Venezuela. The Cuban government fully endorsed the address delivered by Venezuela’s Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, and strongly backed her demand that the United States provide immediate proof of life for the constitutional President, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and First Lady Cilia Flores.

Cuba described the aggression as criminal and reckless, noting that it follows months of heightened military pressure, including provocative naval deployments in the Caribbean Sea since September 2025, carried out under false pretexts and unsupported accusations. According to the statement, these actions threaten not only Venezuela’s sovereignty but also regional peace and stability.

The Revolutionary Government emphatically demanded the immediate release of President Maduro and Comrade Cilia Flores, stressing that the military abduction of a sitting head of state is an unprecedented and intolerable act that cannot be ignored by the international community.

Havana further warned that the aggression reflects a broader imperialist agenda aimed at reviving U.S. hegemonic ambitions in Latin America and the Caribbean, rooted in the discredited Monroe Doctrine. Cuba asserted that the ultimate objective is domination, intimidation, and control over the region’s vast natural resources, particularly those of Venezuela.

The Cuban government placed full responsibility for the human, material, and political consequences of this aggression on the United States administration, including President Donald Trump, his Secretary of State, and influential anti-Latin American forces operating within the U.S. political system.

Cuba recalled the historic Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, unanimously adopted by regional governments in Havana in January 2014, describing the U.S. action as a direct assault on that collective commitment to peace, sovereignty, and mutual respect.

Reaffirming Venezuela’s peaceful character, the statement stressed that the country has not attacked the United States or any other nation, and that no justification exists for the use of force against it. Cuba underscored its deep bond with the Venezuelan people, declaring its readiness to defend that sister nation with the same resolve it would defend its own sovereignty.

The Revolutionary Government issued a global call to action, urging governments, parliaments, social movements, and peoples of conscience worldwide to condemn the U.S. aggression and to confront what it described as an act of state terrorism that endangers international peace and security.

Cuba also warned that the threat extends beyond Venezuela, calling on all nations in Latin America and the Caribbean to remain vigilant in the face of renewed imperial ambitions.

Concluding the statement, Havana reaffirmed its historic determination to resist domination and defend independence, declaring that its resolve remains firm and unshakable.
