Kampala: Despite the COVID-19 financial hardships, the Sub-Saharan African direct broadcast satellite service DStv owned by MultiChoice, has drastically hiked its monthly subscription fees in Uganda.

Unlike previously when a memo leaked showing their price reduction, this time DStv has openly and publicly displayed its new prices on its social media channels, something that has since caused mixed reactions and grievance to its loyal customers who are highly charged without considering the current financial situation.

According to the company’s brochure seen by TheSpy Uganda, DStv Uganda has increased all their monthly subscriptions on all packages with effect from September 1,Sept, 2020. The additions range between shs2000 to shs6000, depending on the package.
