Kampala: Durham Cricket Foundation are currently in Uganda replicating the work they have achieved in Kenya to formalise a new partnership with Uganda Cricket Association (UCA).

The programme, which is funded by management company Liontrust, as part of their support for the Durham Cricket Foundation, has seen the Foundation continue its partnership with Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB) charity.

While in Uganda, Durham Cricket Foundation are working alongside the national governing body for cricket (UCA) to deliver key priorities for cricket development and to continue the positive work in sport for health and social development.

The Foundation has worked alongside Durham Cricket’s Development Team with development officer Liam Simpson travelling out to formalise the partnership and laying the building blocks for this new project’s development.

The new project aims at establishing high quality, progressive cricket leadership within Uganda and will support Liam to develop his leadership skills.

This comes at a time when Uganda is set to host the World Cricket Challenge League (WCL) second Round 2020 after the final first round was held in Oman, where Uganda finished on the bottom line of group B which accredited it a position in WCL.

Uganda is grouped with New Jersey,  Hongkong, Italy, Bermuda and Kenya and each of these one has to play with the other.
