Kampala: As different political parties are preparing for the 2021 general elections, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is continuing to lose  key members, something that has left its leaders in panic, wondering  whether they will champion the  elections or not.

Earlier this month, Hon. Paul Mwiru, the Member of Parliament for Jinja Constituency,  former Leader of Opposition Hon. Winnie Kiiza, who is the  Kasese District Woman MP,  and Adbu Katuntu, the Bugweri County MP all quit the party.

In addition to the above, as you read this, the party has lost yet another member, Hon. Harriet Ssebuwufu Nakiyemba, who was the FDC Ethics and Culture Secretary, who has since crossed to Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP).

In a statement titled ‘Its Hard to say goodbye’ posted on her Facebook wall,  Nakiyemba commended FDC’s support and all the opportunities they offered to her. She concludes by saying that; “I can’t thank you enough. Always feel free to contact me in case answers are needed. It’s hard to say goodbye.”
