Kampala: As different political parties are preparing for the 2021 general elections, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is continuing to lose key members, something that has left its leaders in panic, wondering whether they will champion the elections or not.
Earlier this month, Hon. Paul Mwiru, the Member of Parliament for Jinja Constituency, former Leader of Opposition Hon. Winnie Kiiza, who is the Kasese District Woman MP, and Adbu Katuntu, the Bugweri County MP all quit the party.
In addition to the above, as you read this, the party has lost yet another member, Hon. Harriet Ssebuwufu Nakiyemba, who was the FDC Ethics and Culture Secretary, who has since crossed to Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP).
With a heart full of gratitude, I would like to thank my now FORMER party the Forum for Democratic Change for:
1. All the leadership opportunities and placements in the capacities of Ethics, Culture and Religious Affairs Minister NEC, Commissioner People’s Government, Vice Chairperson Nakawa District and Chairperson Kyanja Parish……. Am highly capacitated now.
2.Thank you FDC for all the local and international training. Thank you for trusting me to work on behalf of the party and to represent it. I was and Am a Diplomat.
3. Thank you so much for all the brotherly coexistence and technical support for all the time. I never lacked a shoulder to cry on.
4. Internally, Am sure there is no perfect being, institution, etcetera. But we could mend all and harmoniously move together. All living organisms have good and bad times.
4. Thank you for understanding and being with me. Am not perfect in any way. But someone could always whisper me to make me a better being and leader.
5.I can’t thank you enough. Always feel free to contact me in case answers are needed.
It’s hard to say goodbye.”
