FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifiers: Micho, Okwi Promise Spirited Performance Against Mali

Kampala: Uganda Cranes will face West Africans Mali in the two countries’ second respective group E match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in Wakiso District on Monday, 6th September 2021.

Mali comes to the match top of the group having won 1-0 over in their opener as Uganda shared the spoils with Kenya at Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi on Thursday.

As the match kicks closer, the team captain of Uganda Cranes Emmanuel Arnold Okwi and the head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic have expressed the readiness to face Mali in the match.

Okwi and Micho addressed the media at the FUFA House Complex on the match eve during a press conference that was shared on ZOOM for the journalists elsewhere.

Uganda Cranes has a point after the goalless draw with Kenya Harambee Stars at the Nyayo National Stadium last Thursday.

Mali leads the standings in Group E following their 1-0 win at home against Rwanda 1-0.

The West Africans arrived in the country on Sunday evening and managed to train at the St Mary’s Stadium.
