Outspoken media personality and political commentator Frank Gashumba has stunned Ugandans after participating in a highly secretive traditional introduction ceremony on Thursday morning in Sembabule District.
Long known for his fiercely private lifestyle and vocal skepticism of marriage, Gashumba offered an uncharacteristic peek into his personal life with a cryptic post shared online:
“Wanna thank me! Congratulations Umuvandimwe Original.”
Accompanied by a series of vibrant photos, the post showed Gashumba donned in elegant Kinyarwanda traditional attire, smiling among friends and family—effectively confirming rumors that he had been formally introduced to the family of his yet-to-be-publicly-identified fiancée, fondly referred to as “Nabavandimwe.”
The ceremony, described by sources as intimate and invite-only, brought together a distinguished group of guests. Among those spotted in the photos were Prof. Lawrence Muganga, Vice Chancellor of Victoria University, as well as several notable politicians, media heavyweights, fashion icons, and Kampala socialites—all dressed in full cultural regalia, honoring the traditions of the day.

“I cannot get married. What would a woman bring into my life that would make me give up my freedom? When you marry, you’re expected to be awake all night addressing those bedroom needs, and I simply don’t have that energy.”
