Democratic Party (DP) leader Nobert Mao has sold ‘his’ political party to ‘mighty’ National Resistance Movement (NRM) under the leadership of HE.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni-political pundits reveals.

The revelation is based on the meeting Mao (who was known as an opposition politician) held this evening with President Museveni at State House-Entebbe, where the duo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation.

The agreement was signed today at State House in Entebbe and was witnessed by President Yoweri Museveni, DP party boss Nobert Mao, Edwin Karugire, who is President Museveni’s personal lawyer, DP Secretary General Gerald Siranda among many others.

The above was announced by President Museveni via his twitter handle where he inked; “I met with Democratic Party President Norbert Mao at State House Entebbe. We signed a cooperation agreement between the NRM and the DP. I salute the DP leadership for this gesture of mature, foresighted and constructive politics.”

Now, according to pundits, this is a ‘diplomatic’ way of announcing the purchase of Mao’s opposition party.

After the Entebbe meeting, Mao happily penned, “For me, this is a continuation of a journey which started before some of us were even born. Your excellency, you now have the historical opportunity to gather patriots that are scattered all over Uganda.

“You must look for them wherever they are. They are in all political parties, they are in all corners of Uganda. These are things which will be enjoyed most by the unborn children. They may thank you when you are not around. So, we salute the courage you have shown. This is an unprecedented step, there has never been something like this.”

Mao could not be spared by fellow politicians from both NRM and opposition. Below are few of tweets about Mao’s new political journey with Museveni.
