Teddy Seezi Cheeye, former head of economic monitoring at internal security organisation (ISO) and the proprietor The Confidential Magazine is dead.
According to one of his daughters, Cheeye was knocked by a boda boda rider as he was crossing the road around Nakawa Township .
Cheeye became popular after his anti-corruption crusading publication exposed graft in government institutions. In the process he rubbed many people in government the wrong way. Later, he joined the same government as a director in internal Security Organisation.
However in 2009, he was convicted of mismanagement of public resources and sent to Luzira Prison for nine years.
He was later released last year after serving his jail term.
