On Tuesday, at the CID Headquarters in Kibuli, Director AIGP Tom Magambo held a crucial meeting with Regional, District, and Divisional CID officers. These officers had just completed an intensive one-month skills enhancement course at the Police Skills Enhancement Centre in Kikandwa, Wakiso.
The training program was designed to sharpen the investigative and operational capabilities of the officers, equipping them with the latest techniques and best practices in criminal investigations. This meeting marks an important step in ensuring that the newly acquired skills are effectively integrated into their day-to-day duties across various jurisdictions.
AIGP Tom Magambo emphasised the significance of continuous professional development for law enforcement personnel in maintaining high standards of service delivery and enhancing public trust. The collaborative discussions during this session aim to align the officers’ enhanced skills with the strategic objectives of the Criminal Investigations Directorate, ultimately strengthening the police force’s ability to combat crime efficiently and uphold the rule of law.
This initiative reflects the police leadership’s commitment to capacity building and fostering a proactive, well-trained cadre of officers ready to tackle evolving security challenges nationwide.
