The Member of Parliament for Jonam County, Hon. Marshall Godfrey Alenyo, has received another significant recognition after being awarded Patriotic Officer Number PO096 by the Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, in acknowledgment of his commitment to patriotism, national service and leadership.
The appointment was announced by the Patriotic League of Uganda as part of a new batch of distinguished leaders, professionals and public servants recognized for their contribution to Uganda’s development and the promotion of the organization’s ideals.
A seasoned legal practitioner and respected public servant, Hon. Alenyo has built a reputation for dedicated service spanning several decades. Before joining elective politics, he served as a Senior Civil Servant in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he played a key role in strengthening governance and public administration.
His legal credentials equally reflect a distinguished academic journey. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Makerere University and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the National University of Ireland (NUI), qualifications that have shaped his contributions both in Parliament and in legal practice as an advocate.
Since his election as the Member of Parliament for Jonam County in Pakwach District, Hon. Alenyo has consistently championed issues of justice, good governance, infrastructure development, education, youth empowerment and improved service delivery for his constituents.
Colleagues describe him as a calm, principled and solutions-oriented leader whose legislative work is guided by professionalism, integrity and an unwavering commitment to national development.
