The latest we are getting is that the government of Uganda through the Ministry of Health has permitted songstress Evelyne Lagu to stage charity concerts in a bid to boost her campaign of; “save the life of Evelyne Lagu” which requires a kidney transplant.
It is worth noting that last month bed-ridden Lagu accompanied by a couple of fellow musicians held a car wash fundraiser still for the same cause and by God’s grace they collected over Ugx. 60Million although it could not facilitate the entire process of transplant that requires over UGX 250 million.
It is from this background that the singer helped by her Zubair family colleagues initiated the idea of staging charity concerts as a way of boosting the means of getting the required amount, hence writing to the government seeking permission for the same which TheSpy Uganda has learnt that it has been approved.
The first concert will be held on 26th March – Theatre Labonita and tickets run for Shs. 30K (Ordinary) and Shs. 100K (VIP)
The second will be on 27th March at Freedom City Namasuba at an entrance fee of Shs. 20K and 50K.
An extra concert has also been aligned on 28th March – PTC Mitanda, Bulenga.
“Hey loves we thank God we will be having a charity show on the 26 at theatre Labonita at only 30000 ordinary and 100000vip this month and 27th at Freedom city at only 20000 ordinary and 50000vip all shows will begin @1pm to 7pm pls endeavour to come and support me all artists, comedians and actors will be available to entertain u as they stand with me thanks a lot God bless u!” Evelyne Lagu stated.
