Happening Now: Victoria University Tips Youths On Career Guidance Amidst COVID-19 Hardships

Kampala: Uganda’s leading private higher institution of learning Victoria University has organised a mega career guidance virtual session with an aim of empowering youth to overcome life hardships most especially during these pandemic days.

The discussion which is already happening now is live online via different social media platforms including the University’s Facebook page under the theme: ‘Empowering Youth To Stand A Test Of Time’.

A discussion sponsored by Rajiv Ruparelia’s ‘Rally Team’ in Co-ordination with Bakesh Media group, started exactly 2pm till 4pm via live broadcast on both Victoria University and Bakesh Media Facebook Pages.

Panelists Of The Discussion

The discussion iseis being moderated by NBS TV senior journalist Canary Mugume, and the key panelist is Prof. Maggie Kigozi, the former executive Director of the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) and currently Director Crown Beverages, who is also prominent business figure in the country.

Among other panelists include, Rajiv Ruparelia, Humphrey Nabumanya, the fouder RHAU, Dr. Dick Kamuganga, the president UNFFE, renowned media personality Rukh-Shana Namuyimbwa and Bill Nkeeto, the Acting Vice Chancellor Victoria University.

The development comes after University directors Sudhir and his son Rajiv Ruparelia last week announced that they reduced tuition to favor the new and old students whose parents were hardly hit by the coronavirus season.

While addressing the press in the University auditorium in Kampala, Rajiv said “It’s official!! We are reducing tuition to enable affordable education for all new and continuing students.

He added “The initiative is to keep education at the core of nurturing talents and skill, now more than ever, Victoria University is here to keep dreams alive.
