‘I Started My Rally Dream From Scratch’ : Tycoon Rajiv Unveils 1st ‘Rally’ Car That Shaped His Motorsport Journey

Rajiv Ruparelia, the Managing Director of Ruparelia Group of companies, has revealed how he developed the love and passion for Motorsport, which he later made his dream come true.

While interacting with our Spy yesterday, Rajiv, who is son of city tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia, revealed that he started by playing with a cart, which he used to drive around the compound at home.

“It was while driving around in my cart as a child that I developed the passion for rally driving. Later, it became a dream I grew up with, hoping that one day I would make it come true.”

He added that “I also used to watch a lot of Motorsport rallies on TV. Actually I still do and enjoy them so much.”

Well, Rajiv, who is currently running his father’s business empire, later made his dream come true by joining Uganda’s Motorsport.

He has since graduated from the red cart he used to drive as a child and now owns a VW Polo, which he imported into the country last year.

Rajiv is nowadays one of Uganda’s formidable rally champions after he scooped the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) 2019 Autocross championship on Sunday 23rd June in Kayunga district.

In his first race, Rajiv came second after clocking a time of 10:44 in the Enduro Autocross Championship 2019 at Zion Estates in Ssisa.

He received specialized training at the Rallystar Motorsport Academy in Johannesburg, South Africa.
