The Inspector General of Police Martins Okoth Ochola has made an impromptu reshuffle to district police commander of Arua district amidst bloodbath debacle.
On Monday evening, violence broke out in between the supporters of NRM’s Nusura Tiperu and Indendepent candidate Kasiano Wadri.
In the new changes, Abbas Senyonjo from Arua moves to Masaka, Ssp Kintu Henry from Masakato moves to Arua while ASP Okalabaya Andrew from Buikwe moves to Mpigi as OC station. Ochola said transfers take immediate effect.
Meanwhile, Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima, while commenting on the matters that led to the death of
Yasin Kawuma, the driver of the Kyadondo East legislator, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, he blamed the supporters of Kasiano Wadri for attacking the president’s convoy by smashing the glass of his official car.
Kawuma was shot dead on Monday evening around Hotel Pacific in Arua town while driving in a tundra registration number UAT 416K.
