IGP Ochola Transfers Unruly Mityana DPC Alex Mwine, RPC Kagarura Over Mbogo Clan Incident

Naguru, Kampala: The Mityana District Police Commander (DPC), SP Alex Mwine Mukono and his counterpart, the Regional Police Commander (RPC) SSP Bob Kagarura have Thursday evening been transferred to Hoima and Bukedi districts respectively following the raid on Mbogo clan’s thanksgiving ceremony for the clan leader, Gajuule Kayiira Kasibante.

Meanwhile, Ochola, through Police’s chief political commissar AIGP Asan Kasingye apologized to both the Catholic Church and the Buganda Kingdom over the unfortunate incident during a visit on Wednesday to Katikkiro Peter Mayiga at Bulange Mengo who strongly demanded that indiscipline officers be punished.

Mayiga stressed that Members of the Mbogo clan are so many with different political aspirations and belong to different religions, but are all members of the Mbogo clan and therefore there was no need to teargas them while meeting with their clan leaders.
