Impersonator Arrested For Dressing Like Police Officer To Terrorise Ugandans

Kampal, Uganda: A man who has been dressing like a policeman and impersonating as Cadet Assistant Superintendant of police commonly has been arrested by detectives at Wandegeya Police Station.

The suspect has been identified as Amos Chema Wabudambi, a resident of Kamwokya Church Road Zone, who has been masquerading as a police officer. The deputy  Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire revealed that Wabudambi’s arrest came after residents saw him several times dressing up on police uniform and carrying out operations like traffic controls. “After our policemen got a tip-off from complaining residents, they swung into action and arrested him.” Oweyesigire added that “After searching his residence, police detectives discovered that he had a senior police officer’s uniform bearing the name Makobi.”

The police are currently interrogating Wabudambi to  establish the racket he has been dealing with while terrorizing innocent people. Detectives revealed that the suspect will be charged with illegal possession of government stores .
