Controversial Minister Namuganza

According to the Court documents submitted to the electoral commission, Namuganza claims in her declaration that she was named Namuganza Persis by her late father Ndimulodi Zibondo but since she was from a royal clan, she decided to adopt the title of ‘princess’, because after all the public used to refer to her with the title.

In the same declaration, Namuganza confirms her claims by referring to her birth certificate as evidence.

However, the names of her alleged father Ndimulodi Zibondo, who allegedly belonged to the royal family are not the same on the certificate.

Secondly, in Busoga, apparently, there are no royal names of Zibondo or Nkono, instead, these are titles of cultural county chiefdoms where Zibondo is the head for Bulamooji (current Kaliro district) and Nkono being the Busoga kingdom chiefdom title, Bukono, current Namutumba district.

It’s  now the contradictions in the names of parents and title that is making the public wonder whether the documents the minister uses are hers, but also, which royal family does the honourable Minister belong to.

Meanwhile, our repeated calls to the minister for a comment on the same were futile as she couldn’t pick her known phone number.
