Kampala, Uganda – The spirit of leadership and academic excellence was on full display at Kampala Parents School as the institution held a colorful swearing-in ceremony for its newly elected prefects. The event, graced by parents, teachers, pupils, and members of the school’s management, highlighted the school’s deep-rooted commitment to democratic values, quality education, and holistic pupil development.
Among the special guests in attendance was Hon. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs (MSY&CA), who praised the school’s dedication to nurturing young leaders through inclusive and participatory systems.
“I was deeply impressed by the school’s unwavering commitment to democracy, academic excellence, and pupil welfare,” Hon. Balaam remarked. “It is inspiring to see young learners take on leadership roles with such passion and responsibility.”
In his remarks, Hon. Balaam extended warm congratulations to both the incoming and outgoing student cabinets, commending their achievements and contributions to school life. He further expressed heartfelt appreciation to the school’s founder, Hon. Edward Kasole, and current proprietor, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, for their sustained investment in the future of Uganda through education.
“This school is a beacon of hope and a model of what we envision for our country’s youth,” he added.
The ceremony not only celebrated the leadership transition but also reinforced the school’s mission to mold future leaders in a nurturing and disciplined environment.
