Entebbe: Mogul Dr.Sudhir Ruparelia through his Ruparelia Group recently kicked off the construction of a mega-resort and convention centre whose construction is expected to consume 100m dollars.

According to our snoop within the boundaries of this project, Speke Resort and Convention Centre will sit on over 15 acres at Abayita Ababiri trading centre near the Shores of Lake Victoria in Entebbe.

Economically, this beach will be so impactful to Uganda as a country since it will be constructed a few steps away from Entebbe International Airport, making it the perfect Gateway to Uganda, which according to economic pundits, will attract millions of tourists year in year out.

Addressing journalists recently, Rajiv Ruparelia who is a Director in Ruparelia Group, noted that this project presents Uganda with a great opportunity to get facilities with services of international repute.

“Ruparelia Groups’ acquisition of Ssese Gateway Beach, gave more impetus to our organic growth in Uganda,” added Rajiv.

Speke Resort & Convention Centre will be a 350 room resort and convention centre, with 4 restaurants, marina for 50 boats, 10 presidential suites.

The Convention Centre with be carrying capacity of 3500 persons, additional conference facilities of up to 1500 persons, small conference and meeting facilities, 3 wedding grounds and parking space for 1500 cars.

Now, based on its strategic location and the range of facilities it will offer, this resort will be ideal for business and leisure travellers, as well as airline crew and the local community.
