Masaka: The presiding judge of Masaka High Court her Lordship Victoria Nakintu Katamba has given green light to MPs; Allan Ssewanyana (Makindye West) and Kawempe North’s Muhammad Ssegirinya to spend today’s night bonking after each securing shs20 million cash bail.
The legislators are battling with allegations of participating in the recent spate of murders that occurred in the Masaka sub-region.
According to the charge sheet, the suspects are accused of murdering Francis Kizza, Sulaiman Kakooza, and Tadeo Kiyimba and attempted to murder Ronald Ssebyato of Ssetaala village in Masaka city.
The duo was represented by Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Hon Shamim Malende in the hybrid session where the two MPs were on zoom.
The legislators are jointly charged with four more suspects, some of whom according to police confession by culprits in their statements, mention the two MPs as their accomplices.
Ever since the tragedy started last month, over 30 people have been killed by still, unknown panga wielding goons. Few weeks back, Police said had arrested 15 suspects who were arraigned before court and remanded of the same.
