TheSpy Uganda understands that MultiChoice Uganda upgrade campaign on the DStv and GOtv platforms will give customers an opportunity to access a higher bouquet within 48 hours from the time their last active subscription once the payment is made, what an exciting offer!
According to Joan Semanda Kizza, the PR and Communications Manager for MultiChoice Uganda, MultiChoice is cognizant of the need to make great entertainment more accessible to customers every time-all the time just like the slogan “so much more”
“We are aware of the current times and the need for our customers to get value beyond what they pay for as they seek for entertaining, enjoyable and educative content from the local, regional and international scene, designed to enhance their viewing experience,” Ms,Joan Semanda noted.
She added, “If a DStv customer is on DStv Access (bouquet price UGX 35,000) but pays for DStv Family (bouquet price UGX 52,000) subscription, they will be upgraded to DStv Compact (bouquet price UGX 84,000) for a period of 30 days.”
In the same vein, this website has established that customers on the GOtv Platform will be able to upgrade to the GOtv Max bouquet for the discounted price of UGX 34,000 compared to the usual UGX 40,000 although the offer is eligible to disconnect, new GOtv Plus, Value, and Lite customers, that’s the beauty with MultiChoice!
On there other hand, Colin Asiimwe the Head of Marketing for MultiChoice Uganda noted that Step-Up promotion will give their customers a new experience with their TV, a key element of their service which aligns with their brand positioning of offering great home entertainment.
Mr.Asiimwe asserted, “We cannot thank our customers enough for their continued support over the years. This promotion also comes as a token of gratitude from us to our valued DStv and GOtv customers. It is also a reassurance of our commitment to continually deliver the best video entertainment experience in the country.”
He added, “The new Step-Up campaign will run from 19th January 2021 until 31 March 2021. Once the customer pays the amount as stipulated by MultiChoice Uganda, they will be upgraded to a higher package.”
MultiChoice is a South African company that operates the DStv, major service in Sub-Saharan Africa and GOtv, a minor service operating in over 9 countries of this area and Showmax service.
It was formed out of the subscriber-management branch of the M-Net terrestrial pay-television company and broadcasts the full range of M-Net channels on the DStv service.
The company is owned by the media conglomerate of the same name. One of the subsidiaries of MultiChoice is DStv Now, renamed as DStv App, a service that delivers television transmission to mobile devices such as laptops, smartphones and notebooks.
Formerly, MultiChoice had operations in the Benelux, Scandinavian & Greek regions under the FilmNet TV service.
In 2020, MultiChoice had a total subscriber base of 20.1 million viewers throughout Africa, and Naspers claimed that MultiChoice was one of the fastest-growing pay-TV operators globally.
