Tseghe said that “We heard the surviving girl calling for rescue and I moved out to help her but the debris was be too heavy for me to uplift.”

He added that “The heavy rains caused the wall on the children’s room to collapse, burying all the three children alive and subsequently causing their instant death.”

Modesto Masereka the father of the deceased , who stays in a house a few metres away from affected house, said he heard his father make an alarm and on arrival at the scene he found the children already buries by debris.
The incident comes just two weeks after two Primary Seven pupils were killed in another landslide in Mahango sub-county in Kasese.

Kasoke appealed to humanitarian agencies to respond and offer relief to families that have lost their houses and also crops.
