Kiboga: According to Police, their officers No.18810 Sgt Okola Patrick aged 56 yrs, ln-charge post-Nakasozi in Kiboga district and one Waswa Fred 33yrs a former Crime Preventer are no more after being shot dead by No.1919 SPC Serugo Husein also attached at the same police post.

”The case was reported to police by D/ IP Katumba Hassan aged 55yrs a police officer attached to Kiboga Police Station,” reads the Police statement.
It is alleged that on 24/04/2021 at around 1100hrs, a lady who is yet to be identified came to police to report a case of domestic violence against the husband.
That, No.1991 SPC Serugo Husein sent Mukimbire James one of the recent terminated SPC to call the in-charge post No.18810 Sgt Okola Patrick from his room to come and attend to the complainant.
Police say that when Waswa Fred entered the room of the in-charge which is located in the same building, SPC Serugo Husein followed him armed with SMG rifle No.56361160382 which had 20 rds of ammunition and shot two dead.
It is further alleged that thereafter, SPC Serugo Husein highjacked a motorcycle rider who has been identified as Turyasingura Martin aged 24 yrs, a resident of Mwanga sub-county in Kiboga district and carried him away from the scene with his gun.
That he later dropped him in a distance of a half kilometre after the suspect Serugo Husein robbed him of his 60000shs and his mobile phone.
According to police findings, the deceased had suspected bullet wounds on their bodies and six cartridges were recovered in the same room.
Police say the motive of this killing is not yet established but according to information got from the scene is that, for some time, the suspect SPC Serugo Husein had been complaining against in-charge for favouring the deceased Waswa in their day-to-day duties.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased are at Kiboga Hospital as they are prepared to be brought to Mulago hospital for postmortem while the tracing for the suspect SPC Serugo Husein with a killer weapon goes on.
