Kampala: The private body guard of the National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine has been arrested by sister security operatives and whisked away to unknown destination.

While executing his duties to his boss Kyagulanyi, who is campaigning in Bududa, Nobert Ariho got arrested by heavily armed security officers some in police and army uniform before he was bundled on a police van.

After the incident, Kyagulanyi spit thus; “Even when clear evidence came out showing that our comrade Nobert Ariho never threw the grenade that nearly killed us, as alleged by police, they have gone ahead and arrested him violently, bundled him onto a police truck and drove him to an unknown destination!

The same police officer called Asiimwe, who continues to follow us and cause mayhem commandeered his arrest!”

Controversy In This Matter

Early this week, police spokesperson Fred Enanga revealed that Bobi Wine’s private bodyguard Norbert Ariho threw an explosive that is believed to have been a sophisticated teargas canister with characteristics of grenades that sparked and injured EC police officer and Kyagulanyi’s music partner Dan Magic.

In a twist of events, a video captured by a Next Media camera person revealed that it was Police that threw the explosive that fallen on Kyagulanyi’s car as he engaged officers for blocking his campaign rally while Ariho standing aside to him.

Now, Kyagulanyi says, “Definitely, they are so ashamed of themselves and simply want to prove a point!”

He adds, “We are aware of their plan to arrest, torture and detain many more people that I work with until after elections. Too bad for them, Uganda is far ahead of them!” an accessible web community an accessible web community
