Lady Murdered With DPC Muhamad Kirumira Finally Identified, Not His Wife!

Though at first, the media reported that the woman shot dead along with former Buyende DPC Muhamad Kirumira was his wife, TheSpy Uganda has confirmed that the lady who was shot was his neighbor with whom he had gone to attend a kwanjula function, and was returning home at the time of their death.

The lady has ably been identified as Resty Nalinya, a neighbor at his Bulenga home.

Muhammad Kirumira  was fatally shot dead near his home on Saturday evening in Bulenga, Wakiso district on Saturday night around 9pm.

Kirumira hand over himself to his arresters early this year at his home in Bulenga.

Kirumira who met his death when gunmen riding on Boda boda waylaid him and opened fire at him at Bulenga trading centre around 9:00pm will be buried at Mpambire, Mpigi District today.

He was coming from a Kwanjula function with a female friend identified as Resty Nalinya who was also shot dead along.

This clarified the earlier report that the woman who was shot with him was his wife. His wife was home at the time of the incident.

Bleeding heavily from gunshot wounds, the two were rushed to Rubaga Hospital in Kampala, where they were later declared dead.

In June, Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga was murdered in the same way — assassins shot dead the legislator and his brother on their way home in Kawanda, Wakiso district.

Last year, Assistant Inspector General of Police Andrew Felix Kaweesi was also killed by gunmen moments after leaving his home in Kampala. His bodyguard and driver were also killed along.

Other prominent people, including senior principal state attorney, Joan Kagezi, were also slain in similar fashion.
