Lira City: Col. Edith Nakalema the head of State House Investors Protection Unit delivered a compelling call for Christ-anchored leadership on Tuesday as she addressed business, cultural, and security leaders at the African Evangelistic Enterprise Uganda (AEE Uganda) Leadership Mission. The gathering, held under the theme “Leading Towards a Lasting Legacy” (Philippians 2:3–7), focused on building leadership models that strengthen institutions, safeguard national continuity, and uphold moral integrity.

As Guest Speaker, Col. Nakalema emphasized the urgency of shaping future-ready systems through values-driven leadership. She noted that leaders entrusted with the protection and development of communities must embrace dignity, compassion, and integrity as non-negotiable pillars of their service.

“Leadership anchored in Christ builds a legacy that endures,” Col. Nakalema told the delegates, underscoring the importance of humility and selflessness in public and private leadership. She urged leaders to emulate Christ’s model of servant leadership, marked by love, forgiveness, and a commitment to the well-being of others.
Addressing cultural leaders in attendance, she stressed that long-term stability and moral resilience are possible only when leadership is rooted in spiritual conviction. Drawing from Psalm 121:7–8, she reminded participants of God’s promise of protection and guidance: “The Lord will keep you from all harm, he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
Organizers at AEE Uganda said the mission aims to equip leaders across sectors with transformative insights that blend ethical governance with Gospel-centered principles. The event in Lira City marks another step in strengthening value-based leadership across the country.
The Leadership Mission continues with a series of workshops and engagements designed to inspire leaders to build legacies that uplift communities and honor God.
