Popular news anchor and NTV host Faridah Nakazibwe on Sunday joined long list of celebrity single mothers who never celebrate the International Father’s Day, which is commemorated ever June 21.
Indeed yesterday (Sunday June 21) was the International Father’s Day and as such, several women heaped praises on their fathers and baby daddies, apart from the single mothers in Uganda, who have no reason to celebrate the fathers of their kids.
For Nakazibwe’s case however, she couldn’t celebrate the father of her two daughters identified as Eng. Dan Nankunda with whom she separated several years ago. So while several mothers were celebrating the fathers of their children, Nakazibwe and other single mothers like her who are struggling to raise their kids alone were minding totally different business.
It should be recalled that Nakazibwe, who was once businessman Hajji Moses Kigongo’s side-dish, separated with her new lover Dr Umar Ssali before he had fathered any kids with her, so she had no reason whatsoever to celebrate the Fathers’ Day.
Meanwhile, apart from Nakazibwe, the list of single mothers in Uganda who never celebrate Fathers’ Day includes; singer Winnie Nakanwagi aka Winnie Nwagi, Weasel’s ex-lover Samira Tumusiime, Chameleone’s ex-pal Naira, Bad Black, Sylvie Owori, Judith Heard, Desire Luzinda, to mention but a few.
