As the countdown to the much-anticipated TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 draws to a close, FUFA President Hon. Moses Hassim Magogo made a surprise appearance at Uganda Cranes’ final training session at Kadiba Stadium on Friday afternoon.

The FUFA supremo, who also serves as Member of Parliament for Budiope East, addressed the squad in a motivational talk aimed at energizing the team ahead of their opening match against Algeria scheduled for Monday, August 5, 2025.

“This is your moment to show Africa the strength, unity, and discipline of Uganda. Wear the crest with pride, and play not only with your feet but with your hearts,” Magogo told the players.

Magogo was joined by senior FUFA executives and technical staff, signaling the federation’s full commitment to the team’s campaign.

Since taking over the FUFA presidency in 2013, Magogo has overseen a period of remarkable transformation in Ugandan football.
