Man United XI vs Chelsea: Lineup, Team News & Injuries

By Spy Uganda

Manchester United will hope to build on their Champions League win over Villarreal when they face Chelsea today.

Indeed, while it’s hard to expect a massive turnaround in form – particularly against elite sides – in such a short space of time, caretaker boss Michael Carrick will surely keep things the same and revert to a slightly more defensive approach in a bid to avoid further embarrassment.

United, ahead of the likely appointment of Ralf Ragngick, need to remain competitive in the biggest games. At least then, they can start to build a platform from which to build going forward.

The worst thing to happen on Sunday would be to crumble to another thumping as they did against Manchester City and Liverpool recently.

In terms of team news, Harry Maguire is suspended but the likes of Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani could come back into contention.

Luke Shaw and Fred face late fitness tests, while Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane are still out.

Man United predicted XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw, Telles, McTominay, Fred, Fernandes, Cavani, Ronaldo

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Date: Sunday November 28, 4:30pm GMT
