Kampala: The scandal of popular comedienne Martha Kagimba aka Martha Kay’s nudes pictures which leaked a few weeks ago is not about to end.
The latest SpyUganda has learnt is that two people, suspected to have leaked Martha Kay’s very shaming snaps, have since been arrested and remanded to Luzira prison.
Our Spies reveal that Herbert Arinaitwe, 27 and Farid Mukiibi, 34, have been were on Tuesday remanded to Luzira Prison by Buganda Road Chief Magistrate over allegations that they were behind the leakage on the Comedienne’s nude pictures, which leaked and circulated all over social media platforms in May this year.
Arinaitwe and Mukiibi were charged with aggravated robbery and offensive communication under the computer misuse act.
Prosecution alleges that Arinaitwe, Mukiibi, and others still at large, between April 10 and 11th, 2019, while in Kampala, robbed Martha Kay of two mobile phones which included; Samsung Galaxy S8 gold in color and iPhone X black in color. The duo reportedly used a drug called scopolamine which made their victim lose consciousness.
After drugging Martha, the two goons allegedly stole Shs400,000, a Stanbic Bank ATM card and a driving permit.
Buganda Road Court heard that after the robbery, the suspects, repeatedly using electronic communication, harassed Martha Kay with intent to place her under reasonable fear for her safety and to blackmail her Shs10m before returning her property. But when she didn’t give them the money, they went ahead to leak her nudes of social media platforms.
However, the suspects pleaded not guilty and were remanded to Luzira prisons till August 19, 2019, when their case will come up for mentioning again. Martha Kay’s nudes, in which she paraded everything that her mama gave her, sparked off a global sensation after they went viral on social media, prompting the celebrated entertainer and scribe to go into hibernation for several days. Since then, the hasn’t made any effort at making public appearances.
