SpyUganda has learnt that ex-premier Amama Mbabazi’s blue-eyed boy Private Emilly Katabazi has been reappointed to the Internal Security Organisation (ISO).
Our Spies reveal that Private Katabazi was mid this week appointed as the Deputy Director Mass Media at ISO. Katabazi is known for his loyal support to Mbabazi and harassing journalists during the time he worked for the former prime minister.
In a move seen as rehabilitation after his woes with the army over his conduct, Katabaazi, who accused of over absconding from duty and making public statements without authorization from the army, is set to serve the regime again after repenting his sins.
Prosecution alleged that Katabazi between May 21, and 27 2015, while deployed at the ISO headquarters, Nakasero, without authority left the said place where his duties required him to be, and went to diverse places in Jinja, Mbale, Soroti, Lira, Gulu, Arua and Yumbe district. He was later suspended pending investigations, which have since absolved him of any wrongdoing, hence his being reappointed to ISO and even promoted.
