Property worth hundreds of millions of shillings was lost on Sunday evening when a bus belonging to Gaaga Bus company suddenly caught fire.
Eyewitnesses reveal that the bus registration number UBD 991Y which was heading from Kampala to Arua caught fire and got burnt beyond recognition at around Nyaravuru, in Nebbi district.
Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported but travelers lost property worth millions of shillings which they abandoned in the bus as they scampered through windows for their dear lives.
By the time we filed this story traffic police which had reached the scene hadn’t established what caused the fire.
However, the police have already instituted investigations into the unfortunate incident to establish what could have caused the fire.
